chinita festival

Maracaibo it is the second largest city in venezuela after the national capital.the population is around 1495.maracuchos are very proud of their culture,the their gaitas and of course their "chinita"(our lady of the Rosary of chiquinquira).

This virgen it is so meaningful to them that they celebrate a big annual festival in her honor. this festival stars one week before on 17th the november  with tropical music,cotton .christmas lights,bull fights,cepillados (frozen fruit)pinchos(roasted beef)and a lot of gaitas.

A series of musical groups are present on big stages located in the street so everybody can enjoy  show. Also a lot of pepole spend the hight in the "basilica"wich is the largest church in tow where the  image of the chinita is exposes;praying and especting a mircle in their live. Maracaibo receives many visitors and tourists for this gig festivall,if you want to have a great time, eat a lot, pray and share with your family do thesitate to visit this nice and warm city duringthistime of the year
