Hello, World! Welcome to my blog. In this blog I will post my school work for level 5. I will use it to practice writing, listening, speaking and reading. Also, I will share with my peers and people around the world.

My name is Iran Uzcátegui, but you can call me Antonio. I'm from Maracaibo originally. I live in Maracaibo, in Delicias. I have 23 years and I have a big family. My mom is a teacher and my father is a taxi driver I have 2 brothers and a sister.

I study engineering in the city. My favorite subjects are math and physics. This quarter I am taking 6 classes and I am in the third quarter ..

I like studying, I dont like games, my dream is to graduate in electronic engineering.

My favorite food is lasagna. This is a popular dish in Italy. It is hot and greasy. has slices of yellow cake. They are filled with meat, cheese, tomato and salsa. We eat it with bread.

Duck confit (French: confit de canard) is a French dish made with the leg of the duck. While it is made across France, it is seen as a speciality of Gascony. The confit is prepared in a centuries-old process of preservation that consists of salt curing a piece of meat (generally goose, duck, or pork) and then poaching it in its own fat.

To prepare a confit, the meat is rubbed with salt, garlic, and sometimes herbs such as thyme, then covered and refrigerated for up to 36 hours. Salt-curing the meat acts as a preservative.

Prior to cooking, the spices are rinsed from the meat, which is then patted dry. The meat is placed in a cooking dish deep enough to contain the meat and the rendered fat, and placed in an oven at a low temperature (76 – 135 degrees Celsius/170 – 275 Fahrenheit).^[1][2] The meat is slowly poached at least until cooked, or until meltingly tender, generally four to ten hours.

The meat and fat are then removed from the oven and left to cool. When cool, the meat can be transferred to a canning jar or other container and completely submerged in the fat. A sealed jar of duck confit may be kept in the refrigerator for up to six months, or several weeks if kept in a reusable plastic container. To maximise preservation if canning, the fat should top the meat by at least one inch. The cooking fat acts as both a seal and preservative and results in a very rich taste. Skipping the salt curing stage greatly reduces the shelf life of the confit.

Confit is also sold in cans, which can be kept for several years. The flavourful fat from the confit may also be used in many other ways, as a frying medium for sautéed vegetables (e.g., green beans and garlic, wild or cultivated mushrooms), savory toasts, scrambled eggs or omelettes, and as an addition to shortcrust paste for tarts and quiches.

Dorsay it is located in the 5 de julio avenue in front of the saint jesus graveyard is a departament store dedicated to sell clothes for women,men and children,shose, home equipment,toys,comping supplies and more .

I like this specific supermarket because is one the most supplied stores.there you can finf a wide variety of national and international products.this supermarket brings you a lot of canfort because

you find everything you need in just one place. you can find a "decandido" in every area of the city.

chinita festival

Maracaibo it is the second largest city in venezuela after the national capital.the population is around 1495.maracuchos are very proud of their culture,the their gaitas and of course their "chinita"(our lady of the Rosary of chiquinquira).

This virgen it is so meaningful to them that they celebrate a big annual festival in her honor. this festival stars one week before on 17th the november  with tropical music,cotton .christmas lights,bull fights,cepillados (frozen fruit)pinchos(roasted beef)and a lot of gaitas.

A series of musical groups are present on big stages located in the street so everybody can enjoy  show. Also a lot of pepole spend the hight in the "basilica"wich is the largest church in tow where the  image of the chinita is exposes;praying and especting a mircle in their live. Maracaibo receives many visitors and tourists for this gig festivall,if you want to have a great time, eat a lot, pray and share with your family do thesitate to visit this nice and warm city duringthistime of the year

Hi guys!! Welcome to my blog. I made it for my English Level 3 class. My name is iran uzcategui , I'm from maracaibo, while I'm studying Engineering electronic in URBE. I'm 21 years old. I have tree brothers.

I like spending time with my family, friends . I like to party. I LOVE to go to the beach and go to the movies. I like parties too. The music is an important part of my life. I hate vallenato music, getting up early and washing dishes.

I have many dreams for the future. I'd like to be an excellent profetional and travel around all the world before I get old. I want to have my own house and car and a beautiful Family.
